The Ottawa PHP User Group was founded for educational purposes to provide an organization for those who have an interest in PHP programming and web design in general.

July 2008 - Saved by Ubuntu

The meet up almost ended before it started, with Peter's laptop getting stuck in an infinite loop of vista updates. Forget that… lucky we had a copy of Ubuntu to save the day.  That set off the topic of how Ubuntu seems to have saved all of our skins at some point.

The main topic of conversation though became running a business and all the fun that brings with it.  Things like books, clients, timelines, scope creep.  Nice to know that you're sane to feel a little insane.
